SFA, short for “Sunflower Film Alliance”, gathers Phnom Penh-based youth as an independent collective, yet affiliated with SFO in some logistic, technical and financial support. Since its inception in late 2017, SFA is mandated to train Cambodian youth, aged between 15 and 40, in filmmaking skills, to subsidize their film production and to showcase their works within its annual flagship Chaktomuk Short Film Festival (CSFF).

Although SFA’s main role is to organize CSFF, its films are by default meant for showcases, not for competition with independent entries from other Cambodian filmmakers.
